COVID-19 Information & Travelling

Following on from closure of all holiday parks by the Government on 23rd March, we now have an indicative date for re-opening on 15th July.   

We will be taking a phased approach to re-opening to ensure the safety and well-being of all our customers and teams.   

We hope the information below answers some of your questions. As you can imagine the situation is evolving and we will continue to update our customers when we receive any new guidelines.

 Self-catering Bookings up to 14th July

Following on from the announcement made by the Scottish Government, we will not be allowed to open until the 15th July at the very earliest.  For all customers with a self-catering booking arriving on or before the 14th July can amend their booking by visiting https://www.woodleisure.co.uk/request-amend-booking

As a family business, we would love you to come and stay with us and support us, our teams and local communities once we reopen.  We will provide you with an option to move your booking to another date in 2020, the same equivalent date in 2021 or alternatively we can issue you with a credit note. If you would prefer to be contacted by a member of our team, please chose this option and we will endeavour to get in contact with you within 7 days.


Touring and Camping Pod Bookings up to 31st July

 Following on from Government restrictions and uncertainties over procedures for opening communal facilities, we have taken the difficult decision to reschedule nightly touring and pod bookings at Wood Leisure. 

As a family business, we would love you to come and stay with us and support us, our teams and local communities once we know it is safe to do so. We will provide you with an option to move your booking to the same equivalent date or  another date in 2021 or alternatively we can issue you with a credit note.

From the 20th July, we will be accepting touring and motorhomes on monthly and seasonal pitches who are comfortable using their own facilities.  Chemical toilets, water points, dishwashing and motorhome service points will open with enhanced cleaning procedures and limited number of users at any one time.

Future bookings 

Self-catering including en-suite glamping

We are currently amending all self-catering bookings up to 14th July. We appreciate that this situation may have to change due to Government restrictions and will extend this if necessary.

If your holiday falls out with this period but feel you will still be unable to travel to a future booking, please contact us at headoffice@woodleisure.co.uk. 

We are currently accepting online bookings with increased flexibility for self-catering and en-suite glamping from 20th July. For more information on making a new booking in 2020, please visit our information page. 

Touring, Motorhome, Camping Pod and Tent Bookings

At present, until we receive further guidance on the use of the communual facilties from the Government, we are not taking any new nightly touring, glamping or tent bookings for 2020.

Nightly touring, pod and tent bookings can be made for 2021. 

We are currently monitoring the situation closely and will update our policy when and if we need to.


Balances Due - Self-catering Bookings 

We are aware that those due to come and stay with us 8 weeks from now and have balances due may feel they don't want to commit to paying their full balance in these uncertain times. For this reason, we have shortened the time in which balances on bookings have to be paid.  Instead of the usual 8 weeks before arrival date, balances on bookings are only due 4 weeks prior to your arrival date.

If at the time your balance is due you are uncertain as to whether you will be able to travel, please complete the following form and we can transfer the deposit to a future date https://www.woodleisure.co.uk/request-amend-booking
