5 Days at...Deeside Holiday Park

Welcome to the third of our new blog series '5 Days at...'. The blog will explore the wide range of activities and attractions near each of our Holiday Parks, that you could enjoy during a midweek break. This blog will look at Deeside Holiday Park.

Monday – Deeside Activity Park
Deeside Activity Park offers a range of outdoor activities; from a quiet bit of fishing to loud shooting; from orienteering in the woods to go-karts around the track! Other activities include quad biking, archery and 4 x 4 off-roading, and if you can't decide what to try out, then why not book a package and try a bit of everything?! Deeside Activity Park is in Aboyne, around 23 miles from Deeside Holiday Park.

Tuesday - Visit Aberdeen
Deeside Holiday Park is about 6 miles from Aberdeen, where you can explore all the City has to offer. Explore the City Centre and enjoy museums, art galleries and music venues. Or if shopping is more your thing, then there are several indoor shopping centres in the city centre. If you head towards the beach, you will find the Beach Boulevard retail park, along with Codona's theme park and amusements and the Beach Leisure Centre with it's swimming pool and flumes.

Wednesday – Castle Trail
With over 260 castles, stately homes and ruins dotting its landscape, Aberdeenshire is unsurprisingly known as 'Scotland's Castle Country.' There are more castles per acre here than anywhere else in the UK! Deeside Holiday Park is the perfect base for exploring the Castle Trail, where you can visit 19 of the most famous castles in Aberdeenshire – the park is only 20 minutes from Dunnotter Castle, the first castle on the Trail.

Set in beautiful parkland, this is the first ever Go Ape high ropes courses to contain a zip wire that whizzes over a gorge. You can be sure this trailblazing site will provide the most adrenaline-filled adventure! A discount is available to Wood Leisure guests.
