Wood Leisure Supporting Meningitis Now
Every year at Wood Leisure we are inspired to raise funds for a charity and last year, were delighted to raise over £7,000 for Maggie’s with your help!
We like to choose charities that we can relate to and this year it was an easy decision!! In early February, the Wood family and all the team were hugely affected by Meningitis and Septicaemia when Colin (founder of Wood Leisure) became critically ill within hours due to bacterial meningitis. Thankfully due to an amazing response from the infectious diseases team at Ninewells, Colin has been recovering for the last few months and so far is making extremely good progress – we are beyond grateful that he is one of the lucky ones!!
This year, we want to raise money for Meningitis as well as increasing awareness of the signs and symptoms to help others. Throughout the year our teams will be taking part in sporting events, doing fundraising events on parks and helping others who have been affected.
We appreciate all the support our guests, owners and teams do to raise money for our chosen charities – thank you!!!
You can help us in our fundraising by donating on our Just Giving page - https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/woodleisureteammeningitis, or If you're booking with us online, you can also now choose to add a small donation as an extra.

Help us to fundraise for Meningitis Now, our Chosen Charity of the Year!

We would love for our guests and holiday home owners to support us in our fundraising – maybe by taking part and adding to the distance covered on the treadmill, or maybe by kindly donating to our fundraising efforts?
