Its important to try to reduce waste and recycle as much has possible, you can help by saying no to bags and packaging you don't need and using the recycling banks you'll find in many places across the country.

Take public transport, hire a bike, or dust off your walking boots and discover some of the fantastic places to be found right on your doorstep.

Scotland's communities have lots to offer from events, crafts and farmers markets to local cafes and tearooms.  Ask what's in season and you'll be surprised and delighted by our rich larder of fresh Scottish produce.

Help us reduce light pollution, energy use and carbon emissions by switching off lights and standby buttons when you don't need them.
