Conic Hill is a sharp little summit rising above Balmaha. Right on the Highland Boundary Fault, this short hillwalk offers truly fantastic views over Loch Lomond and its many islands.

Balmaha Millennium Forest Path
This very short walk explores the village of Balmaha. It climbs up to Craigie Fort before returning via a path cut out of the rock on the very edge of Loch Lomond.

Ben Lomond

The Cobbler
The Cobbler - also known as Ben Arthur - has the most distinctive outline of any mountain in the Southern Highlands and makes a fantastic shorter hill walk. Extremely popular, the path on the way up has been improved in recent years and once past the initial zig zags makes a pleasant ascent.

Helensburgh to Balloch
The John Muir Way leaves the pier at Helensburgh to climb up through leafy streets. It passes Charles Rennie Mackintosh's Hill House before picking up a forestry track which climbs to glimpses of Loch Lomond.
