Luss Highland Games

The first Luss Highland Gathering was held in 1875 and has been held annually since, except for a break during the two World Wars. It owes its inception to the enthusiasm of local farmers and sportsmen, all of which were members of the Luss Company of Dunbartonshire Volunteers.

Loch Lomond Highland Games 2022

Hosted at the southern end of Loch Lomond in Balloch village just off the main A82 north, the Loch Lomond Highland Games is one of Scotland’s traditional highland games that attracts tourists from across the globe. The event was launched by a group of local businessmen in 1967 with an initial expenditure of £500 to boost tourism in the local region of Balloch. Today, Loch Lomond Highland Games attracts over 9,000 people each year.

LussFest & WOD On The Loch

The second annual WOD on the Loch Fitness Festival has evolved and is now a part of the wider Luss Festival which welcomes families, locals, tourists and visitors for a weekend of food, fun and fitness. Luss Festival will feature a carnival, market stall and vendor area, food village and licensed bar. The Red Bull DJ truck will be on site all weekend providing music and atmosphere for athletes and guests.
The wider Luss Fesitval will be free to enter and no tickets are needed. If you would like to enter WOD on the Loch Fitness Competition you can buy spectator tickets online or on the day.

Rosneath Peninsula Highland Gathering

Welcome to the Rosneath Peninsula Highland Gathering website and thank you for taking the time to find out more about our event. The Gathering will take place at Howie Park in Rosneath which is situated on the shores of the Gareloch near Helensburgh in Argyll & Bute, approximately 30 miles further up the River Clyde to north of Glasgow.

The Games celebrate our rich culture and heritage with field and track events, piping, highland dancing competitions and heavyweight events including the world championships for tossing the caber.

Discover the Past at Ben Lomond
Ben Lomond Ranger Service, Ardess Lodge, G63 0AR
This guided walk will follow the Ardess Hidden History Trail, a 1.5km circular walk passing through the Oak woods and open ground above Ardess. The local ranger will be able to help you understand and interpret the subtle archaeological traces to reveal a rich story of the past.
The trail has a rough surface, some steep sections, and uses stepping stones in places to cross wet ground. It is a great walk for all ages though and provides some excellent views of the surrounding mountains and across the loch, as well as the varied habitats and landscape at he foot of Ben Lomond.

BGCP Comic Con

BGCP returns to Loch Lomond with Loch Lomond Comic Con. BGCP Comic Con was started as The Big Glasgow Comic Page back in July 2012 mostly out of boredom and trying to find more Comic Fans to speak to, The Facebook Page gathered likes extremely fast as there wasn’t anything like it at the time and eventually this led to a Comic Book Group, Pub Quizzes, Tournaments and eventually a Comic Book Market.

World famous Loch Lomond is our venue – a truly spectacular location in the shadow of the mighty Ben Lomond. We are working closely with Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, and have their full support.
The loch has a proud history of swimming events, and we will be using the familiar entrance and exit points and course associated with the main slipway at Drumkinnon Bay.

Top Dogs Day Out

The TOP DOGS event which was such a success last October, is back this year for TWO events! Sat 14th May and then again on Sat 15th October! It will be a great FREE day out for ALL the family, including your four-legged family members!

Illuminate RSPB Scotland Loch Lomond

Join us at RSPB Loch Lomond for a magical moonlit meander around the reserve after hours. Design and decorate your own recycled glass lantern, then head off along our candlelit trail. Don't forget to keep your eyes-peeled for creatures that only come out after dark. Before you head off, you can enjoy a complimentary hot chocolate and marshmallows around the fire.
Suitable for adults and children but remember to wrap up warm, wear study footwear and bring a torch!
