Looking for something a little different to keep the kids busy during the October holidays? Go Wild Loch Lomond is launching a new Kids Nature Club this October half term, combining bushcraft, outdoor skills and treetop challenges in the heart of Loch Lomond.
We recently featured Go Wild Loch Lomond in our 10 Things to Do at Loch Lomond This Autumn, and now there’s another reason to add it to your October holiday plans.
Located at Loch Lomond Shores in Balloch, just a short distance from Lomond Woods Holiday Park, Go Wild is a family-run outdoor activity centre where children can get outdoors, try something new and enjoy a real sense of achievement.
New for the October Holidays: Kids Nature Club
Running as a pilot during the October half-term holidays, the new Kids Nature Club is primarily aimed at children aged 7–12, with sessions taking place at 10am and 1.30pm.
Each session lasts approximately 2½ hours and combines hands-on bushcraft activities with time on Go Wild’s Tree Top Course.
Bushcraft activities will rotate between sessions and could include:
- Den building
- Responsible fire lighting
- Tool handling
- Preparing food in the wild
Children will also get the chance to take on the Tree Top Course, putting their confidence and sense of adventure to the test amongst the trees.
It’s a great opportunity to swap screens for the outdoors and try something children might not normally experience during a family holiday.
Great Value for an October Holiday Activity
Kids Nature Club sessions cost £42 per child.
If your child attends both the morning and afternoon sessions on the same day, there is 50% off the afternoon session.
With the Tree Top Course normally costing £32 per child on its own, the Kids Nature Club offers plenty of extra activity as part of the session.
If booking both sessions, children will need to be collected between the morning and afternoon sessions for lunch, as catering is not currently available as part of the club.
Just 12 Places Per Session
There are only 12 spaces available for each Kids Nature Club session, so places are expected to fill quickly.

For families staying at Lomond Woods Holiday Park, it’s ideally placed for a morning or afternoon session.
