Founded in 1981 by Colin and Margaret Wood at Blairgowrie Holiday Park, Wood Leisure has grown from a handful of holiday homes into a family-owned group of six holiday parks across Scotland, now led by their three daughters.

Built on strong family values, Wood Leisure is known for high-quality accommodation, spotless facilities, and outstanding customer care, recognised with VisitScotland 5-star status, a Thistle Award, and Family Business of the Year.

Today, almost 500 holiday home owners and a 120-strong team help create memorable holidays across Scotland.

Career Development Pathways

Marina’s Journey: Finance Administrator to Accounts Manager

Marina joined Wood Leisure in 2018 as an Accounts Administrator, having completed an HND in Accounting after moving to Scotland. Her analytical skills, attention to detail and commitment to learning helped her progress to Accounts Co-ordinator in 2022 and Assistant Accounts Manager in 2024. In early 2026, she achieved another milestone when she was promoted to Accounts Manager. Marina’s journey shows how dedication and continuous development can create exciting career opportunities at Wood Leisure.

Helen’s Journey: Office Junior to Sales Manager

Helen joined Wood Leisure in 2011 through a part-time work experience placement while studying for her HND in Management. Beginning as an Office Junior, her warm personality and talent for building relationships made her a natural fit for sales. She became Sales Co-ordinator in 2014, Assistant Sales Manager in 2024 and Sales Manager in 2026. Helen’s journey demonstrates how a positive attitude, willingness to learn and passion for helping people can lead to a rewarding long-term career.

Carlie’s Journey: First Role to Director

Carlie joined Wood Leisure at just 18 and has developed her career with us over more than 25 years. By working across a variety of roles, she built an in-depth understanding of the business from the ground up. Today, as a Director, Carlie helps shape the future of Wood Leisure. Her journey demonstrates how learning on the job, embracing new challenges and taking opportunities can lead to lasting career progression and leadership.

Kai’s Journey: IT to Reservations Supervisor

Kai’s Wood Leisure journey shows how developing new skills can open unexpected doors. He joined our Reservations team, where his talent for IT and problem-solving led to an opportunity to move into an IT role supporting colleagues across the business.

Kai has now returned to Reservations as Supervisor, combining his operational experience and technical expertise to support the team, improve processes and enhance the experience of our guests.

Returning to Reservations as Supervisor feels like coming full circle, and I’m excited to use what I’ve learned to support the team, improve how we work and continue delivering a great guest experience.”

Caroline’s Journey: Reservations to Owners & Seasonals

Caroline brought extensive hospitality and customer service experience to Wood Leisure when she joined our Reservations team. She has since moved into our Owners & Seasonals team, where her knowledge, experience and ability to build strong relationships continue to shine. Caroline’s journey shows how existing skills can transfer into a new environment, while the experience gained in one role can create opportunities to develop in another.
