How We Are Reducing Our Footprint

Electric Fleet
We are starting to transition our vehicle fleet from diesel to hybrids. Our housekeeping & landscaping teams are also using electric buggies & machinery, so you might see them but not hear them!

Eliminating Virgin Plastics
We have reduced the quantity of mini toiletries we offer and also are now using all ARRAN Sense of Scotland bottles made of 100% PCR material.

Solar Panels
The team at Lomond Woods have installed solar panels on the roof of reception to reduce our carbon footprint.

Cutting Down on Waste
Wood Leisure are committed to recycling and have been working to reduce the amount of landfill waste produced since 2017.

Introducing Charging Points
We now have electric vehicle charging points at all of our holidays parks. Find out more here.

Rich Biodiversity
Our holiday parks positively impact on the local environment by providing natural habitats with indigenous trees, plants and wildlife to thrive and we plant wildflower meadows to enhance our biodiversity. We use water buts & make our own compost for our shrubberies.

Green Offices
Working with Business Energy Scotland, we have installed new double glazed windows & doors to our offices, as well as simple energy saving measures such as door closers. We also have a "turn off" policy.

Green Technology
Our server is powered by 100% Renewable Energy, with 10 Trees planted each month & CO2 Offset (Approx. 0.2 Tonnes each month). We use online teams meetings to collaborate, thus reduce our carbon footprint and we are working towards a paperless office.

WiFi Heating Thermostats
We are introducing miMonitor smart wifi heating thermostats to our holiday homes to reduce our energy consumption.

100% Renewable Energy
Energy for the parks is 100% renewable, through British Gas Business. We have also invested in biomass heating system to help heat and provide hot water to our communal facilities at our parks from a renewable source.

Lighting Motion Sensors
Our park toilet & shower facilities have had motion sensor/PIR installed to reduce our lighting energy consumption. We also use LED lighting throughout our parks.

Green Buildings
Our holiday homes & buildings are all well insulated. We use energy saving lightbulbs and appliances are all A-rated.

Green Champions
We have fully accredited Green Champions for our holiday parks who can recommend measures to improve our energy efficiency and environmental performance.

Heat Source Pumps
We are currently trialling new heat source pumps as a greener way to heat some of our accommodation hot tubs.
