Pitlochry’s Dam and Fish Ladder
Pitlochry’s Dam and Fish Ladder is another unique attraction and a fascinating place to visit. Built to help salmon migrate upstream, the ladder stretches 310 metres with 34 pools, including several resting points along the way. During the season, you can often watch salmon leaping as they make their journey, and the nearby visitor centre offers more insight into the area’s hydroelectric history and wildlife.
Blair Athol Distillery
And for whisky fans, a tour and tasting at Blair Athol Distillery — one of Scotland’s oldest working distilleries — is a must.
