Celebrating 4 Years as a Real Living Wage Employer

Four Years as a Real Living Wage Employer

At Wood Leisure, looking after people has always been at the heart of what we do, from our guests to the team members who help make every stay special.

This year, we’re proud to be celebrating four years as an accredited Real Living Wage employer.

In an industry where pay often sits at the legal minimum, we made the conscious decision to go further. Not for recognition, but because we believe the people who care for our parks, welcome our guests, and keep everything running smoothly deserve to be paid fairly for the work they do.

What Is the Real Living Wage?

The Real Living Wage is different from the government minimum wage.

It is set independently each year by the Living Wage Foundation, based on the actual cost of living in the UK. This means it reflects everyday expenses such as food, energy bills, and housing, rather than simply meeting a statutory minimum.

As an accredited employer and family business, we are committed to reviewing and implementing these updated rates each year.

What This Means for Your Stay

While this commitment is centred around our team, it is something our guests benefit from too.

When people feel valued, supported, and fairly rewarded, it naturally reflects in the experience they create. From the warm welcome on arrival, to the care taken in preparing accommodation, to the pride shown in maintaining our parks and building relationships with owners, our team make the difference.

By investing in our people, we are also investing in the quality, consistency, and personal touches that make a Wood Leisure stay so special.

Looking Ahead

Four years on, our commitment to the Real Living Wage remains as strong as ever.

We will continue to review and implement updated rates each year, ensuring we remain aligned with the standard while continuing to support the people who make Wood Leisure what it is today.
