Weekend Adventures in Blairgowrie and Corriefodly

Staying at a Blairgowrie lodge in Perthshire and visiting Corriefodly Holiday Park and Glenshee Ski Centre was so much fun!

What a fun weekend in Blairgowrie and Corriefodly we had!  

Staying at a Blairgowrie lodge in Perthshire and visiting Corriefodly Holiday Park and Glenshee Ski Centre was so much fun. As we arrived at Blairgowrie Holiday Park, we received a very warm welcome and a key to a lovely, spacious deluxe lodge.

We got a bit peckish driving down from Aberdeen so we had a quick bite before going out for a pleasant walk round the park and a meal in the Old Cross Inn.

The meal was delicious and was worth every penny. Portions were generous even for our toddler. And their layered, fragrant haggis is one of the best ones we have ever had.

The next day had the best weather for us to go up Glenshee for some hiking and sledging. A pleasant 30 minute drive on a bendy road offered us some stunning views of the hills and cattle peacefully grazing on the picturesque glens. If you think of a perfect landscape postcard from a tourist shop, this would be it!   

Once at Glenshee Ski Centre, we parked up at an ample parking area and went for a look around. Friendly guys at a ski cafe told us that we could take a lift from the car park right up to the Tiger run or just take our toddler for some sledging over on any of the snow patches nearby. 

All this fun in the fresh air had made us very hungry so we headed over to the cafe for some hot lunch, and thankfully they had loads of nourishing dishes to tickle our taste buds! 

On the way back to the lodge we popped by Corriefodly Holiday Park where we met Colin Wood himself and miss A even stole a cuddle :) 

We had a very relaxing time in Perthshire and look forward to coming back.
