Take a Cruise & Explore Inchcailloch Island

What better way to experience Loch Lomond than getting out on the loch. Family-owned company Cruise Loch Lomond run cruises from several points around the loch.  Luss is the best departure point for visitors to Lomond Woods, as it just a short drive up the west side of Loch Lomond from the park.

After your cruise, relax in one of our comfortable Loch Lomond lodges at Lomond Woods, complete with modern amenities and many with private hot tubs.

The pretty conservation village of Luss is worth a visit alone. The neat rows of cottages come alive in spring and summer with elaborate flower displays and the view of Ben Lomond from the pier is stunning.

The Explorer Cruise from Luss to Inchcailloch Island is a special experience. It is a magical place in spring when the island is carpeted in bluebells.

In summer the island flourishes and becomes a rich habitat for birds, flowers and plant life. There is a pretty little beach which is perfect for paddling and picnics.

Once on Inchcailloch, there are three walking routes which can be enjoyed separately or together. Each path takes 30-45 minutes, just take your time and enjoy the view.
